Carvin always does an exceptional job building guitars. The frets are jumbo and in great shape, hardly any wear, and the fretwork is great.
The neck feels awesome. It's never sticky like so many other finishes. The 12'' radius makes is great for both chording and soloing, and the neck thickness is neither tick nor thin.. The upper fret access is a breeze thanks to it being a neck-thru model. On top of that, it's extremely versatile thanks to its pickup configuration.
This guitar sounds awesome, and is very versatile. The active/passive switch in this made for all kinds of different tones from classic clean to full on shred.
With the two splittable humbuckers, and the active / passive switch, you could cover a lot of ground, from metal, to rock, pop, fusion and blues. This guitar can do it all.
This is a great, well made and optioned guitar. It is extremely resonant, had all kinds of cool options built in, the pickups are super versatile due to that active/passive switching. It also looks great with the transparent green finish showing off the figured maple top.
These guitars are somewhat underrated and tend to fly under the radar for whatever reason. This premium model was a bit more expensive than the other Carvin guitars due to its options and appointments and they are excellent guitars for the price.
