Here is a very rare amp here in Australia. You don’t see them come up for sale at all.
You cannot get any more simple…it’s got a volume and a tone knob.
This was the Dr Z version of a high gain amp. Heaps of gain on tap.
This is the closest amp to getting that fabled Trainwreck tone without spending 40K. The output transformer was actually designed for Dr Z by the late Ken Fischer (who designed the Trainwreck amps).
This amp is for players who ride their guitar volume knob for clean and gain tones. It’s all about the controls on your guitar.
Even with the amp at 9 o'clock, there is a great solo tone to be had. But by simply knocking back the guitar's volume, you can get the spank and sparkly tone.
From Strat, Telecaster to Les Paul and everything in between, the amp reacts the same way.
A quad of el84's make this a 38 Watt amp with 2 x 12AX7's and a 5AR4 rectifier tube round out the tube compliment. It’s more than loud enough to keep up with any hard hitting drummer.
A volume.......and a tone control.......That's all it has to shape the tone. But I don't think you really need anything else. It's all there.
The amp is cathode biased so tube changes are very simple.

The Mazerati GT may look familiar, but you are in for a whole new ride. Our goal with this design is to provide you the simplest platform to achieve that elusive “boutique” high gain tone. The GT uses the time tested output transformer designed for us by Ken Fischer. The gain comes on fast and strong allowing you to simply use the volume knob on your guitar to provide sparkling clean tones. The Mazerati GT utilizes two 12AX7s, a quad of EL84s, and a 5AR4 rectifier. The GT is cathode biased so output tube changes are a breeze.
